Rosie Sherman
I began painting in earnest over 35 years ago when a brief illness gave me the opportunity and gift of time. I rediscovered what I knew as a child, I loved to paint! My journey has included many mentors and through my travels, I had a multitude of inspirations.
My work was first showcased in Galleries and outdoor shows in Florida, where I spend the winter months. I've been honoured to do solo shows in Richmond Hill, ON as well as Boca Raton, Florida. This summer my work will be featured at Artistry by the Lake, in Niagara on the Lake, in July. In recent years my joy of painting has also been shared with my students.
“When I first began, I tried many mediums but ultimately stayed with acrylics
using both brushes and palette knives to build texture and fluidity in my work. My paintings range in subject matter but are always super vibrant and expressive, portraying optimism and joy.”
