Ron and Barb Zimmermann have been creating unique stoneware pottery in their garden studio since 1989.
Ron Zimmermann's clay journey began in his teens, and he has been creating with clay ever since. He earned a Diploma in Ceramics and Glass from Georgian College in Barrie where he also worked as a studio technician for two years. Barb earned a Diploma in Ceramics and Glass from Georgian and also has an Honours B.A. in Visual Arts from Western University. They started Lakeside Pottery in 1989 and have their work in homes and offices across the globe. They create beautiful pottery that has blossomed into works of art.
Ron and Barb use sturdy stoneware clay which they transform into works of art for your table.
Pots are wheel-thrown or hand-built with attention to every detail. They design all their own shapes and make their own unique glazes and decorations. Their inspiration comes from their love of colour and form as well as where they live. Niagara is a beautiful region of orchards and vineyards leading to the blue of Lake Ontario which informs all of their designs.
