Julie Forrester Clark

I create semi-abstract landscape and seascape paintings. My work is intuitively created and inspired by feelings of “Cianalas”, a Scottish-Gaelic word meaning a deep longing for, or homesickness for a place. I am also interested in climate change and how crazy weather patterns affect us all directly. Through my art, I want to encourage people to get outside, witness the remarkable beauty of our planet, appreciate the environment and protect it by taking action.

“I apply textured layers of acrylic paint with brayers, catalyst wedges and found objects, along with scratching, sanding, glazing, blending, and adding pencil and ink marks combined to create my paintings.”
