Other events include the Pelham Arts Festival 2021 and 2022, the Dundas Valley School of Art annual auction and the Little Black Frame Event.
I have always been inspired by the works of artists such as Vermeer, Bouguereau, J.L. David, and J.S. Sargent whose work ranges between naturalism and impressionism, where a portrait or figure painting might contain a narrative or a landscape that focuses the viewer's attention.
“In my own work, I identify some aspect of a narrative or landscape that interests me and then work to build the detail of the composition to support the idea in my mind in a way that viewers will hopefully understand.
This involves selective focus and details that a viewer might never see, but are nevertheless an important part of the whole.”
