Ron and Barb Zimmermann have been creating unique stoneware pottery in their garden studio since 1989.
Ron Zimmermann's clay journey began in his teens, and he has been creating with clay ever since. He earned a Diploma in Ceramics and Glass from Georgian College in Barrie where he also worked as a studio technician for two years.
Barb earned a Diploma in Ceramics and Glass from Georgian and also has an Honours B.A. in Visual Arts from Western University. They started Lakeside Pottery in 1989 and have their work in homes and offices across the globe. They create beautiful pottery that has blossomed into works of art.
Ron and Barb Zimmermann create their unique pottery pieces from a simple lump of clay.
They transform the clay into shapes on the potter's wheel, or by handbuilding the clay using forms that they have made. They formulate all their own glazes and decorations and complete their works in their charming garden studio.
